Tutorial 5 – Random fields

In this tutorial we use Fesslix for random field discretization.

The tutorial is structured as follows:

Overview
  • Tutorial 5a: one-dimensional standard Normal random field
  • Tutorial 5b: inhomogeneous one-dimensional log-Normal random field
  • Tutorial 5c: 2D FE-plate with spatially uncertain Young's modulus

The theory of the employed random field discretization methods is presented in [1].


Note: For this tutorial, you are supposed to have successfully completed Tutorial 4.
